Val Kilmer continues to deny he has cancer, even after slurring his speech and dabbing at his mouth during a recent public appearance in Los Angeles. Kilmer, 56, was introducing a film version of his one-man play on November 10 when he began having difficulty speaking.
“I went into rehearsals down in Florida and started having trouble with my speech,” Kilmer later explained. “Obviously I’m still recovering. My tongue swelled up and I canceled the tour… I have no cancer whatsoever.”
This is the second time Kilmer has denied a cancer diagnosis, which fellow actor Michael Douglas has publicly claimed.
