Reba McEntire Honors Late Bandmates on Anniversary of Fateful Plane Crash

It’s been 25 years since Reba McEntire’s life-altering decision to stay in San Francisco one more night while her band flew home after a show. Eight of those band members would never be seen alive again. The chartered plane carrying the musicians crashed into Otay Mountain, exploding on impact and killing everyone on board.

At the time, Reba told People it was her “darkest hour.” Now, decades later, the music superstar still thinks about the friends she lost that day.

“I feel in my heart that they know we still miss them so much,” she posted on Instagram on March 16. “My love and prayers to all the families and friends.”
