Actress Joely Fisher has published an emotional tribute to half-sister Carrie Fisher, the iconic Star Wars actress who passed away in late December after suffering a massive heart attack while aboard a plane.
“You all lost Princess Leia and Carrie Fisher; I lost my hero, my mentor, my mirror,” wrote Fisher, 49, in a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter. “During our transcontinental chat before Carrie’s fateful flight from London to L.A., we promised we’d spend Christmas together. It’s a promise we kept, although not in a way either of us had anticipated.”
Fisher, who stayed by her sister’s bedside as she took her last breaths, has also vowed to be there for Carrie Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd.
