Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Bryan Cranston shared quite the kiss at the Emmys on Monday night.
The two, who once “dated” on-screen in an episode of Seinfeld in the ’90s, locked lips for 11 seconds as Louis-Dreyfus prepared to collect her Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
The “Veep” star confirmed that the kiss was, indeed, scripted and that each actor’s significant other had given them the green light to do it.
“When Bryan and I were talking on the phone about what we were going to do as our presenting bit,” she told People, “it dawned on me that this would be a nice part three of the joke.”
