Craig Morgan and wife Karen Greer have released a statement on the death of their son, who was found dead on July 11 after falling into the Tennessee River on July 10.
Jerry Greer, 19, was tubing with friends when he fell into the water. Authorities do not yet know what caused his fall. The recent high school graduate was planning to play football at Marshall University in the fall.
“The family is grateful for the outpouring of support and requests prayers at this time as they privately mourn this terrible loss,” Morgan’s rep said in a prepared statement on his behalf.
