On August 21, Justin Timberlake tweeted in remembrance of his former ‘NSync manager Lou Pearlman, who died in prison on August 19 at the age of 62. Pearlman was serving a 25-year sentence for his role in a Ponzi scheme that defrauded nearly two thousand investors in 2008.
“I hope he found some peace,” Timberlake, 35, tweeted. “God bless and RIP, Lou Pearlman.”
Pearlman founded Trans Continental Records in the ‘90s, hoping to find new boy band talent. He assembled both the Backstreet Boys and ‘NSync after a nationwide talent search. The two bands went on to become best-sellers.
