Jennifer Morrison, who stars as Emma Swan in ABC drama Once Upon A Time, has announced she will exit the series at the end of its current sixth season. Morrison, 38, explained her decision to fans in a heartfelt Instagram post.
“As I reached the end of my 6 year contract on ONCE UPON A TIME, I was faced with a significant decision… After very careful consideration, I have decided that creatively and personally, it is time for me to move on,” Morrison wrote. “Emma Swan is one my favorite characters that I have ever played… I am so honored to have been a central part of such a special show.”
It remains unclear whether the show will be renewed for a seventh season.
