ABC’s popular reality franchise has finally answered the call to add more diversity to its lineup.
On February 13, after Bachelor Nick Viall sent contestant Rachel Lindsay home, the network confirmed that she will be featured as the next Bachelorette. Lindsay, 31, is the first African-American to take on the leading role in the reality dating empire.
Dallas attorney Lindsay charmed the network and fans alike with her brains and sense of humor on Viall’s season. However, they parted as friends.
“I’m ready to find love, find a husband,” Lindsay said after the announcement was made official.
