Today Show host Hoda Kotb surprised viewers on February 21 by calling in to the show to reveal she has adopted a baby girl.
“She’s a Valentine’s baby. She is the love of my life,” Kotb, 52, explained of her baby daughter, Haley Joy. “I didn’t know my heart could feel like this. This is a moment in my life that I never thought would happen, and here it is, happening to me.”
This is Kotb’s first child. She was married to Burzis Kanga from 2005-2007, and currently lives with boyfriend Joel Schiffman. Kotb did not reveal whether Schiffman played a role in the adoption.
