In a new interview with The Edit digital magazine, Shailene Woodley talks about growing up with a psychologist father and counselor mother.
The Snowden star calls her parents’ childrearing practices “f—ked up,” including making she and her brother stand in the front yard hugging one another for hours when they got into fights.
“That was the kind of reverse, manipulative psychology my parents were into!” Woodley says.
Still, the actress says she remains close to her family, calling them her “everything.”
“They would do anything for me, and I would do anything for them,” Woodley concludes.
