Actress and animal activist Kaley Cuoco is using her influence to encourage people to adopt rescues instead of shopping for pets. In particular, Cuoco, 31, is determined to help Pit bulls overcome their bad rap.
“I’m obsessed with this kind of dog,” she says of the Pit bull breed. “I just find them to be so incredible. I realized what great dogs they were, and how horribly they were seen. And I just didn’t want that to happen anymore. So it became a passion.”
Cuoco volunteers for nonprofit Paw Works when not filming Big Bang Theory, and she is currently working to raise money to support organizations rescuing pets from the floodwaters in Texas.
