Former Olympic soccer standout Lauren Holiday has announced she is being treated for a brain tumor during pregnancy. The benign mass continues to grow, and it will be removed after Holiday gives birth to her first child in October.
“Obviously, we were and are still very excited about the birth of our first child, but our focus shifted from having this magnificent blessing to making sure everything is going to be OK with Lauren and the child,” Jrue Holiday, Lauren’s husband and starting point guard for the New Orleans Pelicans, has said.
Holiday was diagnosed with the tumor after experiencing slitting headaches. It is not expected to affect the health of the baby.
