In what he has described as “a dream come true,” Sean “Diddy” Combs has announced he will open a charter school in his native Harlem this fall.
The Grammy award-winning artist has reportedly been meeting with community leaders and educational experts for five years to iron out a proposal. His school will begin with 6-7 grades, adding another grade each year until it becomes a 6-12 school.
“I want to impact the lives of young people in my community, and build future leaders,” Diddy said. “The first step is offering access to a quality education.”
