It took a health scare to snap Chrissy Metz out of her deep depression and get her health on track.
In the latest issue of People, the popular This Is Us star opened up about a scary panic attack she experienced on her 30th birthday, just hours before she was supposed to attend her own birthday celebration.
“I’m like, What is this? Am I dying? What’s happening?” Metz, 36, explained. “It was really scary — really, really, really scary.”
The actress checked into a hospital and was diagnosed with a panic attack, but she says the event changed her outlook and motivated her to lose 100 pounds and live a healthier lifestyle.
