In a new interview with British GQ, Calvin Harris finally discussed how he “snapped” after his breakup with Taylor Swift in July 2016.
“It was completely the wrong instinct,” Harris, 33, said. “I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.”
Harris was referring to Swift’s public revelation that she helped the Scottish DJ write his hit song “This Is What You Came For,” and his subsequent Twitter rants about her.
Harris and Swift dated quietly for 15 months before the very public breakup took place.
