In the April issue of Elle, cover model Anne Hathaway opens up about the positive affect her marriage to Adam Shulman has had on her life.
“He changed my ability to be in the world comfortably,” the actress says of her hubby. “I think the accepted narrative now is that we, as women, don’t need anybody. But I need my husband. His unique and specific love has changed me.”
Hathaway and Shulman have been married for four years and share one-year-old son Johnny. Hathaway has recently taken up the cause of paid parental leave in the United States as a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador.
