In one of the most emotional moments of the night, Celine Dion performed Queen’s “The Show Must Go On” to honor her late husband at the May 22 Billboard Music Awards. Many in the audience were left with tears in their eyes.
Dion was backed by an impressive orchestra for the performance, with Lindsey Stirling on violin. The powerful singer slayed the vocals of the song written in 1991 to honor Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, who was dying of AIDS at the time.
Later in the show, Dion was also presented with the respected Billboard Icon Award.
