They may play a married couple on ABC’s long-running police drama, but sources say Castle star Stana Katic is leaving the show at the end of the current season due to conflicts with costar Nathan Fillion.
“Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion completely despise each other,” the source told Us. “They will not speak when they are off set, and this has been going on for seasons now.”
Producers reportedly sent the two actors to couples counseling recently when the tension became unbearable, but it did not stop Katic from choosing to leave the show.
Castle is now in its eight season and has not yet been renewed for a ninth.
