Simone Biles shared a tearful embrace with her parents after her Viennese Waltz on the April 10 episode of Dancing With the Stars. The gymnast had been holding back tears throughout the performance, which she dedicated to the people who adopted her out of foster care when she was 6 years old.
“My parents saved me. They’ve set huge examples of how to treat other people and they’ve been there to support me since day one,” Biles explained. “There’s nothing I could say to them to thank them enough. Even though there’s no right words, maybe dance will say it for me.”
