Ryan Reynolds Releases Statement About Shocking Death on ‘Deadpool 2’ Set

A stunt woman died on the set of Deadpool 2 on August 14 after a motorcycle stunt went horribly wrong. The woman has not been identified, but her Ducati reportedly went airborne before crashing through an office building in Vancouver. Ryan Reynolds, who produces and stars in the Deadpool franchise, released a statement on social media.

“We’re heartbroken, shocked, devastated… but recognize nothing can come close to the grief and inexplicable pain her family and loved ones must feel in this moment,” Reynolds wrote. “My heart pours out to them — along with each and every person she touched in this world.”

It remains unknown whether the accident will affect the film’s production schedule.
