An ABC insider has spilled the beans that Nick Viall attracted more Bachelor applicants than ever before. In fact, he received double the interest of past starts of the romance reality show, leading to producers casting thirty contestants instead of the usual twenty-five.
“There was definitely a spike in applications when Nick was announced,” the source reports. “About twice as many women applied to Nick’s season versus other seasons.”
Viall’s season is also unique in its diversity – there are a record nine African-American and mixed-race women competing for the Wisconsin native’s heart.
