Chris Martin stopped by the Z100 radio studios on Thursday to chat with Elvis Duran and his morning show co-hosts, and the Coldplay frontman quoted some lyrics that hint that he found his split from estranged wife Gywneth Paltrow to be quite painful.
“There’s a phrase, which was written by a singer Leonard Cohen, which is ‘The crack is where the light comes in.’ So, sometimes you have to go through something painful or breakage to see the beauty of things,” he said.
Martin and Paltrow famously announced that they were “consciously uncoupling” earlier this year.
