According to The Hollywood Reporter, Abigail Breslin is to star in the lead role of ABC’s upcoming reboot of the 1987 film Dirty Dancing.
Breslin will play Baby, the role originally held by Jennifer Grey. No actor has been confirmed to play the male lead, Johnny, the role made famous by Patrick Swayze.
The three-hour TV event has not yet set a premier date.
