Salma Hayek has chosen to speak up about the horrific harassment she suffered at the hands of Harvey Weinstein for years. Hayek, 51, kept quiet when allegations first arose against the legendary producer, but chose to write an op-ed after being inspired by the bravery of other actresses.
Hayek recounted numerous inappropriate encounters with Weinstein during filming for Frida in 2002. “No to me taking a shower with him. No to letting him watch me take a shower. No to letting him give me a massage,” she wrote. “No to letting a naked friend of his give me a massage. No to letting him give me oral sex. No to my getting naked with another woman.”
Hayek also alleged that Weinstein once threatened to kill her.
