At an intimate performance at Joe’s Bar in Chicago, Miranda Lambert got real with her fans.
The “Vice” singer noted that she began “drinking a little extra” in the wake of her divorce from fellow country singer Blake Shelton in 2015. Lambert also noted that her relationship with alcohol was the inspiration behind several songs on her latest album, including “Ugly Lights.”
“I found myself in Midtown in Nashville three nights in a row at like last call and with the lights coming on, and I’m still sitting there,” she told the audience. “So I wrote a song about it.”
