According to Page Six, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon reportedly fired nanny Simonette DaCosta in January of 2014 for being “too affectionate.”
“She was let go for doing too good of a job,” DaCosta’s lawyer Eli Freedberg told The New York Post. “She was advised not to be too affectionate with the children [by Carey and Cannon] because they felt the children would get too attached to Ms. DaCosta.”
DaCosta worked with the famous family from October 2013 through January 2014 before being given the boot.
