As the stars arrived in Venice in droves in September to celebrate the nuptials of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin, Ellen Barkin was among them.
A former co-star and longtime pal of Clooney’s, the veteran actress couldn’t recall much about the wedding thanks to her enjoyment of more than a few cocktails, but she did go on to say wonderful things about the newlyweds.
“I always felt [George] would [get married]. I felt he was just waiting ‘til he felt like he wanted to,” Barkin said. “She takes great care of him and all his friends.”
