Danny Masterson has been fired from The Ranch after four women came forward alleging the actor raped them more than a decade ago. Three of the women reported the assaults to the Church of Scientology at the time.
“As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of The Ranch,” a spokesperson for Netflix said in a December 5 statement. “[Monday] was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him.”
It is unclear what will become of Masterson’s character, Jameson “Rooster” Bennett. Masterson is also a producer on the show, an item which remains unresolved.
