On Monday, Nov. 9, Caitlyn Jenner was honored as the Transgender Champion at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards.
“I never in a million years thought that I would be here,” she said in her acceptance speech. “For years and years, I never felt like I fit in anywhere. I always felt as an outsider; I never felt good in the male side, and I wasn’t obviously in the female side. I was kind of stuck in the middle. But all of a sudden, after making these decisions and coming out, it was by far the best thing that I ever did.”
Jenner came out as transgender in April in a tell-all special with Diane Sawyer.
