Now that Bindi Irwin is all grown up, she sat down for an interview with Us Weekly this week and opened up about her famous father, Steve Irwin, who died tragically from a stingray attack in 2006 at the age of 44.
“I hope he’d be so proud [of me],” she told the mag. “That’s my end goal. He was like our living, breathing superhero. He was so passionate and clever.”
Bindi, now 16, was just 7 years old at the time of her father’s death and continues to carry on his legacy as a wildlife conservationist herself.
