Before she found success as a Tony Award-winning actress, Audra McDonald’s life wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies.
McDonald revealed on ABC’s “Popcorn with Peter Travers” that she attempted suicide as a college student at Juliard.
“They checked me into a mental-health hospital, where I was for a month,” she said, “and got me the help I needed.”
