Amid Lady Gaga’s recent health challenges, including a hospitalization in Brazil due to “extreme physical pain,” the Bad Romance singer has postponed the European leg of her Joanne world tour. Though Gaga has been open about her battles with fibromyalgia, the postponement is also due to mental health reasons.
“I have always been honest about my physical and mental health struggles,” the Grammy winner wrote to fans. “As I get stronger and when I feel ready, I will tell my story in more depth, and plan to take this on strongly so I can not only raise awareness, but expand research for others who suffer as I do, so I can help make a difference.”
The European tour dates, which were set to begin September 21, will be rescheduled for 2018.
