In a new interview with UK’s iNews, Fergie opens up about her years spent in the 1990s addicted to crystal meth. The singer says she faced bouts of psychosis and hallucinations, and dropped down to a dangerously low weight.
“I went into a church and had this epiphany. It was a crossroads,” she says of her decision to get sober. “The drugs I was taking were making me insane. I was definitely seeing things and talking to them. I’d just be sitting there, seeing a random bee or bunny.”
Now clean for more than 14 years, Fergie says she credits “guardian angels” with helping her turn her life around.
