Chip and Joanna Gaines Address Rumors About Marriage Issues

After the September announcement that they would discontinue filming Fixer Upper after the current season ends, Chip and Joanna Gaines faced a flurry of rumors about the health of their marriage. On October 17, the couple answered the rumors head-on while appearing on the Today Show.

“Look, I’ll give [the rumors] a little credence,” Chip, 42, said. “For us, the most important thing in the world is Jo and I’s relationship, followed very quickly by these four beautiful kids… We didn’t want to push it, to redline it for so long that we woke up and realized we are at a point of no return. We wanted to take a step back and focus on what is absolutely the most important thing to us.”

The couple share kids Drake, 12, Ella, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie, 7.
