In 2014, elevator footage after the Met Gala showed Beyoncé standing by as sister Solange Knowles punched and kicked Jay-Z in a scuffle that made headlines. Now, for the first time, Jay-Z is talking about the incident.
“We had one disagreement ever. Before and after we’ve been cool,” the rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter, said in a recent interview for Rap Radar. “She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister, not my sister-in-law. My sister. Period.”
“I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space. But it ain’t nothing,” he finished.
