Youtube singing sensation Christina Grimmie, who placed third on The Voice in 2014, was gunned down on June 11 while signing autographs after a show in Orlando, Florida. Witnesses say they heard at least six gunshots before Grimmie’s older brother tackled the shooter.
Police say Grimmie, 22, did not know the shooter, who killed himself during the struggle with Grimmie’s brother. Authorities have called the perpetrator a “deranged fan” who was obsessed with the singer.
Adam Levine, who coached Grimmie on The Voice, shared his grief on social media, posting, “I’m sad, shocked and confused… This just isn’t fair.”
