More than a year after getting engaged, former The Hills star Whitney Port is finally sharing the story of her proposal – which she unintentionally botched.
After overhearing her now fiancé Tim Rosenman on the phone with his boss, Port thought something was up.
“My stomach immediately dropped. I thought to myself, ‘Does he need to talk to me about something? What the f does he need luck for?’” she wrote on her blog. “I immediately asked him and he tried to brush it off but I just couldn’t let it go.”
So, Rosenman gave up on his surprise and proposed right then and there – in their living room.
“He told me he had this elaborate plan … to propose to me on a boat in the Sydney Harbor!” she wrote. “I couldn’t believe I had basically ruined that magical moment we would have had, but I was so happy to be engaged to him that it didn’t even matter!”
