Netflix Puts ‘House of Cards’ On Extended Hiatus After Kevin Spacey Firing

Netflix has announced it will extend the current House of Cards production hiatus after firing the show’s star, Kevin Spacey, amid a growing number of sexual misconduct allegations from the cast and crew.

“These last two months have tested and tried all of us in ways none of us could have foreseen,” the show’s producers wrote in a letter to fans. “The one thing we have learned throughout this process is that this production is bigger than just one person and we could not be more proud to be associated with one of the most loyal and talented production cast and crews in this business.”

Spacey is currently receiving undisclosed treatment at a rehab facility in Arizona.
