Leighton Meester performed an intimate set at the Apple Store in New York City’s Soho neighborhood on Tuesday and used the opportunity to call out one of her ex-boyfriends.
“[My record Heartstrings] used to be about some stupid breakup that I had when I was 25 or earlier,” she said. “But it was stupid, and I was like, ‘I have to write a song about this!’ Now, it really does have more meaning. At the time it was like, ‘Screw you, I don’t care about you anymore, and it’s not going to happen! Joker.'”
These days Meester is happily married to Adam Brody.
