A conservative Christian pastor named Larry Tomczak published a column in the Christian Post last Thursday titled “Are You Aware of the Avalanche of Gay Programming Assaulting Your Home?” – which he directed at Ellen DeGeneres – and sent the talk show host into defense mode.
DeGeneres used her show as a platform on Wednesday to fire back at Tomczak’s hateful comments, which suggest that the funnywoman has been pushing an “immoral,” “indecent,” “shameful,” and “unnatural” lifestyle with her show because she’s gay.
“Larry, the only way I’m trying to influence people is to be more kind and compassionate with one another,” DeGeneres said. “That is the message that I’m sending out. I don’t have an agenda. I’m not here to brainwash anyone.”
