U2 singer Bono underwent two emergency surgeries earlier this week after he was involved in what has been described by his physician as a “high energy bicycle accident” in New York City.
Orthopaedic trauma surgeon Dr. Dean Lorich from New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Hospital for Special Surgery revealed in a statement to Rolling Stone that Bono sustained multiple injuries and fractures to his left eye, left shoulder blade and left humerus.
Lorich also revealed that Bono will require intensive progressive therapy but that he is expected to make a full recovery.
