Daymond John of Shark Tank fame has revealed his personal battle with thyroid cancer. John, 48, shared the news on Good Morning America on May 10.
“I had an extensive physical and they discovered there was a nodule on my thyroid,” John explained. “They removed it and it was stage II cancer on my thyroid.”
Though he is currently in good health and feeling “absolutely great,” John says he knows the cancer could return in the future.
“I have to monitor it for the rest of my life,” he admitted. “I have another half of my thyroid still in. In the event it comes back, I will have to fight it.”
