Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy traveled from Los Angeles to Ashtabula, Ohio on March 30 to undergo surgery for an injury he sustained on the show. Chmerkovskiy was practicing a spin with his Glee alum partner Heather Morris when he suddenly injured his calf.
“Getting’ unbroken,” the Ukrainian native captioned a selfie from his hospital bed.
As Chmerkovskiy recuperates, Morris will continue competing with fill-in partner Alan Bursten. It remains unclear whether the seasoned dance pro will be able to rejoin Morris as the season continues.
