The future of a Nashville restaurant is in flux after health inspectors found moldy food, an active roach infestation, and beef left at room temperature on the floor.
The severe violations led Tennessee’s Department of Health to suspend Staley’s Chicago Italian Dining’s permit Monday, forcing the 614 18th Avenue North establishment to close until further notice.
According to the inspection, no one was present for food delivery Monday. The inspector noted that as a result, a variety of meats, cheeses, and pre-cooked pastas were left on the floor at room temperature for more than four hours.
