Bette Midler made headlines earlier this week when she criticized Ariana Grande for being too sexual.
“You don’t have to make a whore out of yourself to get ahead,” Midler told the U.K.’s Telegraph at the time.
On Thursday, however, Midler took to Twitter to apologize for the comment in her own unique way.
“About my screed on [Ariana Grande], all I can say is, ‘Spoken like a reformed old whore!'” Midler tweeted. “She does have a beautiful voice, on a couch or off.”
