CBS has decided to end its partnership with Rihanna after the singer directed a “F*** you” tweet at the network on Tuesday.
“Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open,” said Jen Sabatelle, the Senior VP of Communications at CBS, in an official statement. “We will be using our newly created Thursday Night Football theme music to open our game broadcast.”
Rihanna’s emotional outburst came after CBS decided not to feature her song in the broadcast this past Thursday in the wake of the Ray Rice scandal since she was a former victim of domestic violence.
