Mariah Carey’s New Year’s Eve snafu doesn’t seem to be holding her back – the pop diva was recently paid “over seven figures” to perform at a Russian teen’s wedding.
Billionaire Valery Kogan, owner of Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport, reportedly paid the “Emotions” singer a small fortune to perform at the wedding of his 19-year-old granddaughter, Irene Kogan, and new husband Daniel Kevey. Elton John was also paid to perform at the event, and Antonio Banderas reportedly made a speech to the newlyweds.
The fruitful gig comes on the heels of Carey’s disastrous appearance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, during which the singer became frustrated by technical problems and simply walked off stage.
