Just days after Kelly Rutherford began cautiously celebrating her temporary custody victory, a judge has halted her children’s return to the United States from Monaco.
According to the Associated Press, Rutherford’s ex-husband Daniel Giersch claimed that the actress made “fraudulent statements” in order to gain custody, and he also argued that Monaco – not California – has jurisdiction over the children. As it currently stands, the kids cannot return to the U.S. until Monaco and L.A. judges discuss the case during a hearing on June 11.
As previously reported, Rutherford and Giersch split back in 2009 and have been battling over the custody of their children Hermes, 8, and Helena, 6, ever since.
