Adam Levine received quite the shock on Monday when he was approached on stage by an overly zealous female fan.
According to onlookers, Levine and his Maroon 5 bandmates were in the middle of performing “It Was Always You” at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., when a young woman made her way to the stage and approached the singer from behind, wrapping her arms around his neck in a hug. Security officers responded immediately and escorted her off the stage.
“That was f–king weird, right?” Levine said to the audience. “She like, cut my ear with her fingernail… It’s just weird to be, like, in the moment, ya know? And you’re singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment. And then the next thing you know someone’s f–king in your face. It’s super terrifying.”
