Elton John was spotted carrying a Dolce & Gabbana shopping bag in London on Wednesday, just days after calling out the Italian fashion designers for their controversial comments about IVF and “synthetic” families.
After telling Italian magazine Panorama earlier this month that they “oppose gay adoptions” and that “the only family is the traditional one,” Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana came under fire from several celebrities, with Elton John leading the charge.
“How dare you refer to my beautiful children as ‘synthetic’. And shame on you for wagging your [judgmental] little fingers at IVF – a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to [fulfill] their dream of having children,” John wrote on Instagram, following it up with a plea to his fans and followers to #BoycottDolceGabbana.
